Mee Na Lojewski, artistic director and cello
The founder of Affinity Collective, Mee Na graduated from the Australian National Academy of Music in 2014 with a 2015 ANAM Fellowship. She holds a Master of Music (Performance) from Sydney Conservatorium of Music in conjunction with The Royal Academy of Music, London where she studied with Susan Blake, Timothy Walden and Mats Lidström. Mee Na has been a principal player with Sydney Chamber Opera since 2012 and in 2014 performed with the Mahler Chamber Orchestra, Germany. She is a casual musician with Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, Victorian Opera and Sydney Symphony Orchestra, with whom she toured Japan and Korea in 2011. Recent chamber music highlights include White Noise at White Night Festival (2017); International Musicians Seminar Prussia Cove, UK (2016); Yehudi Menuhin Festival Southbank Centre, London (2016); Melbourne International Arts Festival’s Quartetthaus (2014, 2015); Omega Ensemble’s Enlightened (2014); Musica Viva's Huntington Festival (2014); ANAM’s Brodsky Quartet Shostakovich Cycle (2013). Mee Na has performed in masterclasses with Steven Isserlis, Ralph Kirschbaum, Peter Bruns, Natalie Clein, Paavali Jumpannen, Eggner and Sitkovetsky Trios, Goldner, Elias, Tokyo and Borodin String Quartets. Mee Na was a finalist in the 2015 ABC Young Performers Awards and, with Affinity Collective, won first prize in the ANAM Chamber Music Competition.
