Ioana Tache, violin
Born in Belgrade, Serbia, Ioana began her violin studies at the age of five and at age seven commenced her orchestral and chamber music training after immigrating to Australia with her family in 1998. Ioana completed the Australian National Academy of Music's Professional Performance Program under the tutelege of William Hennessy in 2013, and performed with artists including Anthony Marwood, Pekka Kuusisto, Richard Tognetti, Daniel Harding, James Judd, and Johannes Moser during her time there. She was Concertmaster of the ANAM Orchestra with soloists Nicolas Altstaedt and Paavali Jumppanen in 2013.
From 2013 – 2014 Ioana was second violinist of the Australian String Quartet. During her time with the ASQ she performed nationally and abroad. Ioana works on a regular casual basis with orchestras such as Orchestra Victoria, the Victorian Opera Chamber Orchestra, the Melbourne Chamber Orchestra, and ensembles such as Syzygy and Inventi Ensemble. She has performed concertos with Monash Academy Orchestra, Sydney Symphony Orchestra, Melbourne Chamber Orchestra and Queensland Symphony Orchestra. Ioana has performed at classical music festivals including Huntington, Dunkeld, Margaret River, Port Fairy and Bangalow.
